Krista will be coordinating the Sprouts Program at the 2017 Midwest Herb Fest. Below is a sampling of workshop offerings for your event, any of which can be customized for children or teens.

Happy Herbs - an introduction to Nervines such as Passionflower, Echinacea, Chamomile and Milky Oat

Sleepy Herbs - an introduction to Nervines such as Skullcap, Motherswort and Lemon Balm

Strong Herbs - an introduction to Adaptogens such as American Ginseng, Resishi and Ashwagandha

Pressing Plants - How to make a homemade plant press and basic pressing skills

Medicine Making - Crafting Herbal Fruit Punches - Hands-on medicine making course for medicinal punches - herbs/fruits to be discussed include Mints, Berries and Vanilla

Eating the Rainbow - Intro to Phytochemistry - A tasting panel of multi-color fruits and a basic discussion on how different organic molecules make different color foods that help our bodies in various ways

Advanced Intro to PhytoChemistry - A teen version of Eating the Rainbow

Intro to Journeywork - A quiet-time guided meditation on finding internal safe space and working with spirit animals

Intelligence in Nature - Plants, Animals & Water -  A discussion on natural wisdom, totems and how to work with them as well as a basic water lecture based on Emoto's "Hidden Messages in Water" series and Narby's "Intelligence in Nature"

Toning and Dancing the Chakras - Activity involving discussion of the 7 Chakras, learning the tones for the 7 Chakras and dancing the emotions of each one

Animal Totems - Crafting Nature Amulets - An opportunity for discussion on meaning of animal totems, plus an activity - choosing a branch and decorating it as a home protection amulet inspired by a spirit animal

Child/Teen Drum Circle - A space for the youth of the community to have their own private party!!
