Story of the Jaguar - The most aquatic of the large cats, Jaguar is an apex predator. She reminds us that we as humans are also apex predators with the potential to be apex at anything we choose. We can choose to use our gifts to take care of our home and our bodies with the deepest care. The concept of being an apex steward in service to the planet and its creatures is one that was inspired by the majestic feline.

The word "Jaguar" originates from the ancient Amazonian word "Yaguara" which translates to "the beast who kills with one leap". This refers to the Jaguar's ability to subdue its prey with a single bite to the skull. This description works for a holistic approach to medicine as the intention is to find the very root of a challenge - be it body, mind, or spirit - and address it with a respectful ferocity.

Traditionally, Jaguar Medicine is representative of moving without fear in the darkness, reclaiming power, and understanding chaotic patterns.
